We all have our moments in life where we go through these fazes of comparing our life to other people’s and most certainly the outcome never leaves you in the best mood right? I know I have. Can we agree? You feel like God isn’t hearing your prayers, your life sucks and you aren’t living up to the expectations you have for yourself because you’re too busy looking over in the other lane at somebody else’s life. Pump ya brakes! Now! Better yet, slam on them because comparison is the thief of joy. Y’all know that saying and it absolutely, completely true! We put those people up on a pedastool as if they’re living their best life. In some cases, maybe they are, but you don’t know what they’ve been through to get to that point. You’re busy looking at their chapter 20, but didn’t see what they went through from 1-19.

Evrybody has a story. Everybody’s season isn’t suppose to happen at the same time because everybody can’t shine at the same time all the time. Don’t get caught up in someone’s else’s life, that you miss your blessings what God has for you! Trust. I’ve been there and sometimes do get caught up as well, but snap myself out of it and focus on what God has in store for my life and nobody else’s. At the end of the day you have to live with YOU. So stay true to yourself.

I came across this meme yesterday on IG and it said “Dear girl who sees her friends getting engaged, married, moving into their first home, posting pics with her man, etc and you feel like you’re doing something wrong, stop! You’re not. Their season isn’t your season. God hasn’t forsaken you. Comparison is the thief of joy.” When I tell you this spoke directly to me and I was shook! Yes, I was shook!

I say that to say this because I had to talk to myself on this subject plenty of times. God has NOT forgotten about you. He never does. He knows exactly when it’s your time and season to shine and flourish. Try not to be discouraged no matter what’s going on. Keep him close, focus on your own life, pray, have faith that all things work according to his plan and trust that your time is coming. Manifest and work towards those goals your trying to accomplish and everything will be there right on time and surely fall into place exactly how their suppose to.

One day I do want to get married and have a beautiful family. So while shooting and walking by, I said this place looks cute, walk in and it’s a bridal stationery store called CHICK. I took a look around and manifested that one day I’ll be shopping for my wedding, while in the store. Just something small as that, taking a little bit of action behind what you want to happen in your life. However, things are easier said then done, but all in all trust, trust, trust and have faith in the timing of your life. Our blessings are on the way! Make sure you’re ready to receive them though. Now lets get it into this look…

So this cute top is from my honeys clothing brand Troisieme.us. Men’s brand, but unisex clothing. My trousers are old Primark and my Nikes I copped from Japan as well as these super cute sunnies I’m rocking. Earrings are Zara and my initial necklace came from Japan as well. Well I hope you enjoyed the post and look. Please leave a comment and/or share. Happy Friday Weekenders! xoxo TWS

  1. This really spoke to me. It becomes so difficult to not be your own critic and not compare your current progress to that of everyone around you. Thanks for this reminder that your journey and your season is your own. Sometimes it’s so easy to forget.
