So I tagged along with my boyfriend to a fashion event that was at a beautiful museum called The Barnes Foundation. It was a menswear brand called Onehunted that had their launch for their collection that was really cool to see. This is where it all began for me with my personal style journey. I started this style blog because I wanted to merge my fashion clothing brand with my personal style to drive both outlets, but in a different aspect. Quick story, growing up I wanted to be a stylist before fashion design came into the picture. So I went to Moore College of Art & Design where I graduated with an BFA in Fashion Design and later started my women’s clothing brand called Shavonne DeAnn. Long story short, designing and styling goes hand to hand if you ask me. In my opinion, as a designer, in order to create a design you need to know how to style it too right? I like to call my stile street chic, because I like to wear “safe pieces” and add some edge to it. So without further or due, I introduce to you, The Weekend Sew, A Designers Perspective on Style. Hope you enjoy! This is only the beginning to amazing things to come!
Decided to be kind of goth chic. Wore my long, fringed knit cardigan from Nordstrom. Along with my shawl collar blazer, with a sheen lapel, ripped jeans from the Gap and my two-toned heels from Zara. Added my fringe BCBG bag to the mix to sort of match my fringe cardigan.
